On April 1, 2025, Hunt pointed out a marked decrease in border crossings, comparing current statistics to those from the past three years. He attributed this change to the policies of former President Donald Trump, asserting that his administration fulfilled its commitments. Addressing another immigration issue, Hunt shared information on April 2, 2025, about a concerning report from the Department of Justice (DOGE). According to Hunt, the department discovered that 2.1 million illegal immigrants acquired social security numbers, enabling millions to access benefits and voter registration. He shared, "DOGE uncovers 2.1 million illegal immigrants who obtained social security numbers. 5 + million illegals that were here on parole were able to access benefit programs and get on the VOTER rolls."
