Rep. Sylvia Garcia, who has represented Texas's 29th district since succeeding Gene Green in 2019, recently addressed several topics through her social media platform. Her statements covered healthcare access, immigration rights, and a community event, highlighting her ongoing commitments and views.

On April 1, 2025, Rep. Garcia stated, "Today I met with biotech company @Genentech to discuss expanding access to lifesaving medicine in underserved communities. Health care is a right, not a privilege, and I’m committed to breaking down barriers to care for families in TX-29 and across the country."

In a separate post on the same day, she addressed immigration issues, expressing her firm stance on due process rights, "The deportation of Kilmar Armado Abrego Garcia is a national disgrace. It exposes the Trump administration’s utter disregard for due process, the rule of law, and basic human rights. Let me say this loud and clear: due process is not an option. No administration gets to ignore."

Later that afternoon, Rep. Garcia lauded community spirit witnessed during a local event, "Team Garcia attended the Rotary Club of Galena Park/Jacinto City Cake Auction to support student scholarships! It was great to see the community come together, and the cakes were just as sweet as the cause!"
