U.S. Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher, representing Texas' 7th district, has generated attention with her recent statements on various topics through her social media platform X. Fletcher, who has been in office since succeeding John Culberson in 2019, is known for her advocacy and commitment to her constituents.

In a post dated April 1, 2025, Fletcher announced the upcoming deadline for applications for summer internships in Texas' 7th district. "Just a few days until applications for #TX07 summer internships are due! Apply for a summer learning about government service with our teams in Houston and Washington at..." her tweet read, encouraging individuals interested in government service.

On April 2, 2025, Fletcher voiced criticism of public figures and their handling of governmental operations. "We keep hearing that Elon Musk and DOGE and Secretary Kennedy are focused on 'fraud, waste, and abuse.' But they aren’t eliminating it. They are engaging in it." she tweeted, expressing her concerns regarding ongoing issues she perceives in these discussions.

Later that same day, Fletcher addressed a disturbing event in her community. "My heart is with Congregation Beth Yeshurun and people across our community following the desecration and vandalism at Beth Yeshurun Cemetery in #TX07." she stated, condemning the incident and urging unity against hatred.
