Rep. Wesley Hunt, serving in the U.S. Congress for Texas's 38th District since 2023, has been vocal on social media about various issues concerning public health, local governance, and political integrity. Born in Houston, Texas in 1981, Hunt currently resides in his hometown.

On January 29, 2025, Rep. Hunt expressed concern over the rise in chronic disease rates among children. He highlighted a significant increase from a "2% Chronic disease rate" to a "66% Chronic Disease rate" and questioned the capability of current bureaucrats to manage public health effectively.
