Rep. Wesley Hunt, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Texas's 38th District since 2023, recently expressed his views on various national issues through a series of tweets. These posts reflect his political stance and highlight concerns about immigration policies and security.

On January 22, 2025, Rep. Hunt announced on Twitter that the House Ways and Means Committee was introducing opportunities to prioritize American interests. He stated: "House Ways and Means now. Introducing the first of many opportunities to put Americans First Again."

Later that day, he commented on an incident involving illegal immigrants breaking into NFL quarterback Joe Burrow’s home. He questioned the public response to such incidents in comparison to reactions over policy decisions, tweeting: " SHOCKING: Four illegal immigrants break into Joe Burrow’s home! Outrage over CBP-1 shutdown, but where’s the fury about illegals robbing Americans? Wild when NOT even an NFL QB’s home is safe."

In another tweet posted shortly after, Rep. Hunt criticized President Biden's immigration policies while praising former President Trump for his approach to these issues. He wrote: "Biden REIMAGINED Immigration. He NORMALIZED: OPENED BORDERS. FRAUDULENT ASYLUM. TEMP PROTECTED STATUS as PERMANENT... On Day 1: President Trump has taken a hammer to this madness."
