Rep. Lizzie Fletcher, serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 7th district since 2019, recently shared her views and well-wishes on Twitter.

On April 14, 2025, Fletcher at 13:06 UTC tweeted her support for the Sikh community, highlighting their long-standing contribution to American society. She said, "Sikhs have been an integral part of America’s fabric for more than 125 years and have contributed to our own community in ways that have had impacts across the country. Today, I wish our Sikh American neighbors and all those who celebrate a very Happy #Vaisakhi!"

Later that day, at 16:41 UTC, Fletcher addressed her role in the Democratic Party's response to the current administration. She invited her followers to learn more about their initiatives, noting, "Want to know the ways House Democrats are fighting back against this administration's harmful actions? I'm a member of our Litigation and Response Taskforce—check out our website. "

In another tweet at 18:06 UTC, Fletcher responded to criticisms from Republican committee members regarding the pace of Democratic debates. She pointed out, "Republicans on my committee complained recently that Democratic debate was slowing down consideration of bills. Which is kind of crazy because we signed off on most of them last year and were ready to pass them until Elon Musk tweeted that he didn't like them. That's the delay."

Fletcher, who has lived in Houston since birth and holds degrees from Kenyon College and the College of William and Mary, succeeded John Culberson in her congressional role.
