Wesley Hunt, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas's 38th District since 2023, shared his perspectives on recent political developments through a series of tweets. Born in Houston, Texas in 1981, Hunt continues to reside there while serving in Congress.

On March 10, 2025, Hunt announced the launch of a revamped CBP-1 app by the Trump administration. He described it as being transformed into "a self-deportation system." "LAUNCHING TODAY! The Trump admin has revamped the CBP-1 app, transforming it into a self-deportation system."

Later that day, Hunt commented on the state of the Democratic Party. He stated that they are preoccupied with internal conflicts rather than focusing on their objectives. " The Democratic Party is in Shambles. They’re too busy fighting each other on what they should be fighting about."

In another tweet posted shortly after, Hunt questioned President Biden's electric vehicle mandates. He suggested these mandates might have political motivations rather than environmental ones and noted an apparent contradiction in Democrats' attitudes towards electric vehicles. "When President Biden issued his Ridiculous EV Mandates, was it really about 'climate change'? Or was it political? It’s interesting how EV’s are suddenly worth Vandalizing to Democrats."
