On March 6, 2025, Rep. Fletcher expressed appreciation for former Mayor and Congressman Sylvester Turner, acknowledging his influence and leadership in Houston. She stated, "Looking back with gratitude on the opportunity to work with and learn from Mayor and Congressman Sylvester Turner. How lucky I was—and we all were—to have his leadership, his friendship, and his love for Houston."

Later that day, she addressed concerns about the impact of new federal orders under the Trump administration on her district and beyond. She invited constituents to share their experiences to highlight the consequences of federal funding cuts.

In another post on March 6, 2025, Rep. Fletcher criticized President Trump's actions regarding Ukrainian refugees in the United States. She commented: "In #TX07 and across the country, we provided a safe haven for Ukrainians who fled Russia's war of aggression—including children and people who needed critical medical care. With this action," she argued that President Trump "betrays both the people we welcomed and the principles we stand for."
