Rep. Lizzie Fletcher, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 7th district since 2019, shared a series of tweets discussing important historical and contemporary issues. Born in Houston, Texas, Fletcher is an alumna of Kenyon College and the College of William and Mary.

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Fletcher reminded her constituents about the closing date for Medicare Open Enrollment. She stated: " Medicare Open Enrollment closes tomorrow, Saturday, December 7. Later that day, she commemorated a significant historical event by acknowledging the anniversary of the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment: "On December 6, 1865, the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment abolished slavery in the United States. As we reflect on this dark chapter in our nation’s history, we’re reminded of our continued pursuit of building a more just and perfect union."

On December 7, Rep. Fletcher paid tribute to Pearl Harbor Day with a message honoring servicemembers: "On #PearlHarborDay—the day that will live in infamy—we honor the servicemembers who lost their lives there in 1941 and continue to honor those from different walks of life who served our country in the days and years that followed."
