Washington, D.C. - Representative Hunt, representing the 38th Congressional District of Texas, has been recognized for his unwavering support of the oil and gas industry with the prestigious Distinguished Legislator Award from the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).
During a meeting with IADC Senior Vice President Bob Warren and industry representatives, Congressman Hunt discussed various aspects of the oil and gas arena, including the challenges and opportunities it presents.
The IADC's Legislator Award is reserved for members of the United States Congress who consistently advocate for the drilling industry through their voting record, co-sponsorship of relevant legislation, and engagement with industry professionals to gain a deeper understanding of their businesses.
"I am extremely proud of the work our team has done to fight back against Biden's radical anti-American energy agenda. The oil and gas industry is the lifeblood of America's economy and the heartbeat of Congressional District 38, and we must do everything we can to preserve it," said Representative Hunt.
Hunt's commitment to supporting domestic oil and gas production is evident in his efforts to greenlight over $18 billion worth of energy projects in just eight months. He understands that legislation enabling consistent and reliable energy production not only benefits U.S. energy security but also contributes to the global economy.
Representative Hunt and his staff remain dedicated to being strong allies for American energy production, ensuring that the industry thrives and continues to be a driving force for economic growth and job creation.
