The Houston Health Department and agency partners recently released the schedule for free COVID-19 testing for the week beginning Jan. 18.
Eighteen testing sites are available in the Houston area. The full daily schedule and list of sites can be found online.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is offering testing at sites offering drive-thru and walk up, self-nasal swab testing. Attendees are encouraged to schedule an appointment prior to arriving, but on-site registration will also be available.
Attendees wishing to visit the Aramco Services Co. site should call the department’s COVID-19 Call Center at 832-393-4220.
The department is also offering drive thru and walk up, self-nasal swab testing at three community sites that don't require appointments.
The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) has partnered with the Houston Astros to offer drive thru and walk up, self-nasal swab testing daily at Minute Maid Park. Attendees should visit curative.com to set an appointment and on-site registration is also available.
TDEM has additional testing sites offering drive thru, nasal-swab tests administered by health care professionals. Attendees wishing to visit these sites should go to covidtest.tdem.texas.gov to schedule an appointment, but on-site registration will also available.
United Memorial Medical Center (UMMC) will offer nasal-swab testing by health care professionals at drive-thru test sites. Attendees will not be required to make appointments. More information about UMMC test sites can be obtained by calling 1-866-333-COVID or visiting their website.
Curative will provide testing at four locations offering walk up, self-mouth swab tests. Appointments are required and can be scheduled at curative.com.
The health department is also providing support to local Federally Qualified Health Centers to expand their COVID-19 testing capacity. Visitors need to call to schedule appointments at the following centers: HOPE Clinic (713-773-0803), Spring Branch Community Health Center (713-462-6565), El Centro de Corazon (713-660-1880), Avenue 360 Health and Wellness (713-426-0027), Lone Star Circle of Care at the University of Houston (346-348-1200), and Scarsdale Family Health Center (281-824-1480).
