On March 31, 2025, Garcia commented on a court decision affecting the Venezuelan community. She stated, "Big news! Federal judge delays the Trump administration's decision to rescind TPS for the Venezuelan community. This was ill-advised and a slap in the face of those who fled the Maduro regime's repression. We must all continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Venezuela".
