Cost of college went up for all students at the University of St Thomas

Tuition and fees rose 2.8 percent for 2018-19 at the University of St Thomas, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas students paid $33,580 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $920 more than the $32,660 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 278 students received grants or scholarships totaling $6.4 million and 123 students took out student loans totaling more than $702,704.

Including all undergraduates (3,223), 1,398 students used grants or scholarships totaling $27.6 million, and 691 students took out $4.8 million in federal student loans.
