Rep. Sylvia Garcia, a U.S. Congress member representing Texas' 29th district, has expressed her views on various political issues through a series of tweets. Her comments focus on immigration reform, Social Security workforce cuts, and the impact of tariffs on American families.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Garcia criticized former President Donald Trump and Senator J.D. Vance for their approach to immigration policy. She suggested that instead of promoting a "gold card," they should collaborate with Democrats to reform the immigration system and provide a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers. "Instead of trying to scam people with his 'gold card', Trump and Vance should work with Democrats to actually reform our immigration system, including giving a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers."

In another tweet posted on the same day, Garcia addressed Trump's proposed cuts to the Social Security workforce. She warned that these cuts could lead to disruptions in benefits for seniors, marking the first such occurrence in over eight decades. "For the first time in over eight decades, Trump’s proposed cuts to the Social Security workforce will cause disruptions to hard-earned benefits."

Later that day, Garcia also commented on Trump's tariffs on Mexico and Canada. She argued that these tariffs would increase the cost of auto parts and vehicles, ultimately burdening American families with higher prices without benefiting workers. "Trump’s reckless tariffs on Mexico and Canada will drive up the cost of auto parts and vehicles—hitting American families with higher prices."
