On December 10, 2024, Rep. Garcia attended the White House Christmas Ball and expressed her gratitude for the event hosted by President Biden and Vice President Harris. Later that day, she voiced her concerns regarding healthcare access for DACA recipients, describing such restrictions as "cruel and shortsighted." She urged former President Trump to act upon his recent statements supporting Dreamers by discouraging attacks against them: "Blocking DACA recipients from accessing affordable health care is cruel and shortsighted. These individuals are vital to our communities... If Trump is serious about protecting Dreamers as he stated over the weekend, he should tell his allies to stand down on their attacks on them."

On December 11, 2024, Rep. Garcia reported a productive meeting with Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh of Pakistan where they discussed enhancing collaboration between their countries and supporting the Pakistani community in her region: "Productive meeting with Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh of Pakistan today.
