On December 9, 2024, Rep. Wesley Hunt commented on a legal decision in New York by stating, "Today, Justice Prevailed for Daniel Penny. A New York jury finally gets the verdict right."

Later that day, he expressed outrage over an incident involving an undocumented immigrant accused of a hit-and-run while intoxicated. He described the situation as "Outrageous: Drunk Illegal Alien Leaves Young American Clinging to Life After Hit-and-Run!" He further detailed that the individual had been arrested after allegedly leaving a young man critically injured and fleeing the scene.
