On December 4, 2024, Rep. Garcia expressed gratitude towards Chairman Patrick McHenry by saying "Thank you, Chairman @PatrickMcHenry, for your years of dedicated service. It was a privilege to wear a bow tie in committee today as a nod to your hard work and commitment. Wishing you the best in the next chapter!"
Later that day, she highlighted her stance on immigration facilities with the statement "I was proud to join my colleagues in demanding that ICE shut down its inhumane Adelanto Processing Center, a place of abuse and negligence run by a for-profit prison company. I will not rest until Adelanto is shut down for good."
On December 5, 2024, Rep. Garcia congratulated Gene Fortexas on his new position: "Congratulations to my dear friend, @genefortexas! I’m thrilled to see the incredible work you’ll do representing all Texans in your new role as Chair of the @TexasHDC."
