On November 20, 2024, Rep. Garcia participated in a hearing with banking regulators where she emphasized the importance of enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives. She also discussed with the National Credit Union Administration Chair about plans to protect credit unions from climate-related risks. According to Garcia: "During today’s hearing with banking regulators, I pressed our witnesses on enhancing DEI initiatives & I spoke to the @NCUA Chair about his plans to safeguard credit unions from climate-related risks."

Later that day, Rep. Garcia congratulated Rep. Adriano Espaillat on his election as Chair of the Hispanic Caucus and expressed her honor in continuing to serve as Whip under his leadership. On November 21, 2024, Rep. Garcia announced securing over $25 million in federal funding for Port Houston through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. This investment is aimed at boosting economic growth and creating jobs in the region: "I’m proud to have secured over $25 million in federal funding for @Port_Houston through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law."
