Brazosport College employee Marshall Campbell donates $100 to Justin Amash's campaign

Marshall Campbell, an employee at Brazosport College, donated $100 to Republican Party candidate Justin Amash, according to the Federal Election Commission.

According to records, there have been $4,522 in campaign contributions made by individuals affiliated with Brazosport College as of November 3. Approximately 90 percent, or $4,070, of these contributions were made to Republican Party candidates and committees.

Ronald Parker's contribution of $2,750 to Republican Party Donald Trump was the largest contribution made by someone affiliated with Brazosport College since January 1, 2019.

According to an Inside Higher Ed analysis of federal elections data, individuals that were affiliated with colleges and universities have donated five times more money to Joe Biden than to President Trump. A study by Pew Research in 2017 found that 58 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents thought colleges and universities have a negative impact on the way things are going in this country.
