Texas Southern University men’s track and field team participated in the Prairie View Relays and Victor Lopez Classic in Houston, according to a March 31 announcement.

The team’s performance is notable for posting the Southwestern Athletic Conference’s fastest 4×100-meter relay time this season, as well as several individual achievements. At Prairie View A&M, Donyea Jarmon won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.46 seconds. Te’Drick Robinson placed fourth in the same event with a time of 14.84 seconds.

The 4×100-meter relay team, consisting of Isaac Henderson, Zion Ikuku, Kacy Kincade, and Joshua Brown, finished second overall but recorded a time of 40.16 seconds—the best in the SWAC so far this year and ranked 37th nationally. Joshua Brown also ran a personal-best of 10.42 seconds in the preliminaries for the fourth-fastest mark in the conference.

Other notable results include Tylor Johnson placing fifth in high jump (6-4), Albert Hurd finishing fourth in pole vault (12-11.5), Ahmad Muhammad and Braylon Carr securing first and second place respectively in triple jump (48-6.25 and 48-6), Blaine Nunn coming third (51-0) and Jalen Walker fourth (50-2.75) in shot put, Jaden Brooks finishing second with a discus throw of 146-2 feet, Walker recording SWAC’s second-best hammer throw mark at 180-10 feet, and Jamari Preatto placing fifth in javelin with a throw of 140-4 feet.
