Tom Oliverson, M.D., a member of the Texas State House representing the 130th district since 2017, posted a series of messages on his Twitter account in early April 2026 addressing public health and community engagement.
On April 6, Oliverson acknowledged National Public Health Week by highlighting the contributions of various professionals in Texas. He wrote, “This National Public Health Week, we recognize every Texan working behind the scenes, doctors, nurses, first responders, public health teams, and so many more. Public health keeps Texans safe, healthy, and ready for anything. Prevention and preparedness matter.”
The following day, on April 7, Oliverson posted a brief message accompanied by an emoji: ” https://t.co/EtTpcllSt7″.
Later that same day, he expressed gratitude for a recent experience related to Old Red. He stated, “Thank you for inviting me and thank you for the amazing tour of Old Red! https://t.co/S01guZ8iwL”.
Oliverson has served as a Republican representative in the Texas State House since 2017 after succeeding Allen Fletcher in District 130.
