Tom Oliverson, M.D., a Republican elected to the Texas State House in 2017 to represent the state’s 130th House district, addressed several legislative priorities and political issues on his social media account on April 8, 2026.
In one post from that day, Oliverson highlighted the importance of transparency and accountability in the federal 340B drug pricing program. He stated, “Great article on why we need better transparency and accountability with 340B. This will be a top priority of mine in 2027! Model policy in process at @NCOILorg . https://t.co/Pmdar3ybu6” (April 8, 2026).
Later that evening, Oliverson commented on concerns regarding the future composition of the Texas House of Representatives. He wrote, “I have a couple of thoughts.
1) I don’t believe that Lt Gov. @DanPatrick believes we will lose the House. That isn’t what he said.
2) Speaker @Burrows4TX and I will not let that happen. @TXGOPCaucus is united like it has not been in a long time. We understand the challenge https://t.co/ajnvQwIMT0″ (April 8, 2026).
In another post on April 8, Oliverson expressed support for whistleblower protections within Texas government institutions: “1000%. I am grateful for your sacrifice @V_Sivadge. I will be refilling my whistleblower protection act again next session to ensure that courageous folks like you and @EithanDHaimMD cannot be retaliated against! https://t.co/ImJXUsOkpe”.
Oliverson has served as state representative since replacing Allen Fletcher following his election in 2017.
