Tom Oliverson, M.D., a Republican elected to the Texas State House in 2017 to represent the state’s 130th House district, addressed several topics in a series of tweets posted between July 28 and July 29, 2025.
On July 28, Oliverson criticized ongoing discussions around gender medicine, writing: “No! Just put the shovel down and stop digging the hole deeper. You lost all credibility with the gender medicine foolishness, no need to double down. #txlege”.
The following day, Oliverson commented on water resource management in East Texas. In his tweet from July 29, he stated: “If we have to pass legislation specifically to shut this project down and any like it that may come later, then we need to do that. Thievery of such a massive amount East Texas water should not be allowed. #txlege #PutItontheCall @GregAbbott_TX”.
Later on July 29, Oliverson shared a personal reflection about family travel: “Anaheim conversion vans. The ultimate family vacation van of my childhood.”
Oliverson has served as the representative for Texas’s 130th House district since succeeding Allen Fletcher in 2017.
