Tom Oliverson, M.D., a Republican elected to the Texas State House in 2017 representing the 130th district, has recently commented on issues ranging from pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) to property tax reform through a series of posts on his social media account.

On March 27, 2026, Oliverson responded positively to an unspecified proposal, stating: “That is an excellent charge! Very timely.”

Shortly after, he addressed concerns regarding PBMs and their impact on independent pharmacies. In his post dated March 27, 2026, Oliverson wrote: “More PBM-related casualties….we really should follow Arkansas’s lead and ban the ownership of pharmacies by PBM’s. Independent pharmacies are a lifeline in rural Texas, and they are worth defending.”

Later that day, Oliverson expressed support for an interim legislative proposal related to property taxes. He posted: “Brilliant interim charge here by @Burrows4TX. We can’t spend our way into abolishing property taxes, we must live within our means. “ on March 27, 2026.

Oliverson succeeded Allen Fletcher as state representative for Texas’s 130th House district and has focused on healthcare policy and fiscal responsibility during his tenure.
