Tom Oliverson, M.D., a Republican who has represented Texas’ 130th House district since 2017, recently addressed a range of issues on his social media account.
On January 9, 2026, Oliverson marked Law Enforcement Appreciation Day by posting: “Today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. We honor the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect and serve our communities.
Our peace, safety, and freedom are possible because of your courage, dedication, and sacrifice. Thank you for protecting https://t.co/Dumt8WUL19“.
Later that same day, he commented on political ideology in Texas with the following statement: “I can definitively assert that socialism is NOT the future here in Texas. Maybe move your protest to California or New York. Not welcome here, we support ICE. https://t.co/zegN7yjbK2”.
On January 11, 2026, Oliverson acknowledged National Human Trafficking Awareness Day by stating: “On National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, we stand with the victims and commit to protecting the most vulnerable Texans. We will keep fighting to hold traffickers accountable and make sure this crime has no place in our state. https://t.co/HJER8QeNcM”.
Oliverson began serving in the Texas State House after being elected in 2017 to succeed Allen Fletcher as representative for District 130.
