The Texas Southern University Department of Athletics announced on Apr. 2 that the start times for its upcoming softball series against Southern University have been changed because of expected bad weather at Memorial Park.

The change is important for fans, players, and staff who plan to attend or participate in the games, as it aims to ensure safety and minimize disruptions caused by inclement weather.

According to the announcement, both teams will now play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 12 p.m., with the second game scheduled for 2 p.m. The series will conclude with a single game on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.

The university said these adjustments were made in response to projected inclement weather conditions that could affect the originally planned schedule. The decision seeks to provide clarity and allow everyone involved enough time to adjust their plans accordingly.

Looking ahead, Texas Southern University encourages attendees to stay updated through official channels in case further changes are necessary due to evolving weather forecasts.
