On December 19, Team Bettencourt announced another computer giveaway event: “Another Sen. Bettencourt and @ATT sponsored PC giveaway at @stjohnvianney Catholic Church just in time for #Christmas, with special guest Rep. @ManoForTexas! A student without a computer is already behind in today’s world, but many families just got caught up with that!” The event was held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church and featured Representative Mano DeAyala as a guest.

On December 22, Team Bettencourt issued an alert regarding property tax exemptions: “TAXPAYER ALERT
ICYMI: @HCAD_Info clarifies that 16.5K surviving spouses of over-65 homeowners in Harris County will receive the additional $50,000 senior ISD homestead exemption approved by voters this past Nov. 4th, based on my legislative intent as author of SB 23. This” The post references recent clarification from the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD) about property tax relief measures for senior citizens’ surviving spouses.
Paul Bettencourt has served as a Republican member of the Texas State Senate since his election in 2015 to represent District 7, succeeding Dan Patrick.
