On February 5, 2026, Team Bettencourt noted community engagement at a candidate event, stating: “Impressive turnout at the @KofC Primary Candidate Forum! Two days later, on February 7, Team Bettencourt shared information about strong interest in Texas’ Education Freedom Accounts program. The post read: ” JUST IN: By Friday afternoon, 62,000+ Texas families applied for $1 billion of Texas Education Freedom Accounts, per Acting Comptroller @KHancock4TX , breaking the news on the @KSEVRadio Amigos! Quite a successful rollout, and I quipped it’s a long way from the last decade”.
