Team Bettencourt, the official account for Texas State Senator Paul Bettencourt, posted a series of updates on property tax increases and education policy in early September 2025.

Two days later, on September 5, the account issued a warning about rising property taxes in Comal County: “A MAXIMUM SMASH TAXPAYER ALERT Just in! On September 6, Team Bettencourt commented on an analysis regarding presidential voting patterns and referenced their own legislative work: “As the Senate author of SB 10, Property Tax Relief, I wouldn’t have thought to do this county analysis of the 2024 Trump/Biden Presidential vote unless you had posted on it at @lukemaciastx claiming Biden’s Texas vote was higher than Trump’s in SB 10’s bracketed 51 counties. Paul Bettencourt has represented Texas’ 7th Senate district since his election in 2015. He succeeded Dan Patrick in this role as a member of the Republican Party.
