Rep. Sylvia Garcia, who serves in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 29th district, recently addressed several issues on social media. Elected in 2019, Garcia has been active in discussing economic and healthcare policies, as well as sharing local accomplishments.

On April 3, 2025, Rep. Garcia criticized former President Donald Trump’s trade policies, stating "Trump’s tariffs are a direct attack on working families, ripping thousands a year from their pockets. The economy is crashing, prices are skyrocketing, and working people are footing the bill for his incompetence." She expressed concern over the financial pressure these tariffs impose on working families.

Later that day, Garcia voiced her opposition to Dr. Oz's involvement with health programs, saying "Dr. Oz has no business overseeing Medicare or Medicaid. He’s exactly the kind of yes-man Republicans want to chip away at these programs. Texans see through it and so do I. I’ll be watching and fighting every step of the way." She emphasized vigilance against any potential erosion of Medicare and Medicaid.
