In a series of tweets, Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia, who represents Texas' 29th District, shared updates and acknowledgments concerning her recent activities and engagements. Garcia has been in office since 2019, succeeding Gene Green. She holds degrees from Texas Woman's University and Texas Southern University and currently resides in Houston.

On April 4, 2025, Garcia endorsed the partnership between Sheldon Independent School District and San Jacinto College, expressing appreciation for the collaboration and its impact on student opportunities. She stated, "Excellent partnership- @SheldonISD & @SanJacCollege. Early college at no cost, means greater opportunities for our kids. Thank you."

Later in the day, Garcia shared her experience meeting with the worker advocacy group Fe Y Justicia in Houston. She voiced her support for labor rights, stating, "It was an honor to meet with Fe Y Justicia @houstonworkers today. I'm proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with them in the fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, and real protections for workers."

As part of her weekly communication with constituents, Garcia provided a brief overview of her work in Washington D.C. She remarked, "Happy Friday, it’s time for my weekly update! This week, I’ve been hard at work in D.C. fighting for the issues that matter most to our community @USHouseFSC."
