On February 17, 2025, Rep. Lizzie Fletcher expressed her apprehension regarding recent developments in American health care. She stated: "We are facing unprecedented and unconstitutional attacks on American health care and reproductive freedom. From freezing funding for community health centers, clinics, and hospitals to removing information about health care and birth control from the CDC’s website."

Later that day, she addressed issues of data privacy involving former President Trump. In her tweet dated February 17, 2025, she noted: "With no accountability or oversight, and stopped only temporarily by a judge, Trump gave Elon Musk and some unvetted teenagers access to our private, personal data." This concern led her to become an original cosponsor of the Taxpayer Data Protection Act.
