Rep. Sylvia Garcia, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 29th district, shared a series of tweets reflecting on national and state issues as well as personal updates. She replaced Gene Green in 2019 and has been active in addressing community concerns.

On February 17, Rep. Garcia acknowledged Presidents’ Day by emphasizing the importance of leadership and civic engagement. She tweeted: "Happy Presidents’ Day! Today, we celebrate the leaders who’ve shaped our nation—and the power of the people to shape what comes next. Let’s keep moving forward!"

The following day, February 18, she addressed a significant public health issue in Texas through her Twitter account. She highlighted that "Texas is experiencing its worst measles outbreak in over 30 years." Garcia emphasized the effectiveness of vaccinations by stating that "the MMR vaccine is 97% effective at preventing it," and stressed the importance of maintaining strong vaccination rates for community safety.

Later on February 18, Rep. Garcia announced her presence on a new social media platform with enthusiasm. She invited her followers to join her on Bluesky for further updates by tweeting: "Exciting news! I’m now on Bluesky! Make sure to follow me for updates and important news."
