Connecticut that protect the right to use birth control. "And it's not just Texas. Justice Clarence Thomas has said the Court should reconsider its decisions protecting fundamental rights to privacy, including the right to use birth control from Griswold v. Connecticut."

She criticized President Trump's directive to cut funding for research initiatives like SAMHSA’s $6.5 billion budget as ineffective solutions to combatting this epidemic: "Today, the @EnergyCommerce Health Subcommittee will hear testimony on combatting the drug overdose epidemic.

Cutting funding and halting research, including $6.5 billion for SAMHSA—as President Trump has ordered—isn't the answer."
