Rep. Sylvia Garcia, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 29th district, has recently shared her thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets. Garcia, who replaced Gene Green in 2019 and previously served in the Texas Senate from 2013 to 2018, expressed concerns over political developments and celebrated cultural events.

On January 28, 2025, Rep. Sylvia Garcia criticized actions by former President Donald Trump regarding federal funding: "Donald Trump's illegal funding freeze has left millions of hard-working families in the dark about their future and which federal services will be shutdown. This chaos will only hurt Americans all across the country. We deserve better."

Later that day, she tweeted about a positive experience at a cultural event: "I had a wonderful time visiting and congratulating the winner of our Día de los Muertos poem competition! It was inspiring to speak with the class and see their creativity and passion for preserving traditions."

In another tweet on January 29, 2025, Garcia addressed further political concerns involving Donald Trump: "The chaos regime strikes again. Another Trump effort to destabilize our government and weaken our institutions. He wants to buy out the federal workforce so he can install loyalists who will enable his assault on our democracy and Constitution."
