Wesley Hunt addresses local tragedy and honors historical sacrifices

Rep. Wesley Hunt, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas's 38th District since 2023, recently addressed various topics through a series of tweets. His communications ranged from local incidents to national historical commemorations.

On December 6, 2024, Rep. Hunt highlighted a tragic incident involving a "7-year old girl killed by alleged drunk driver with mother still recovering in hospital." He questioned, "How many of our children must be taken from us before people start realizing these Venezuelan criminals are a problem?" He further criticized the current administration by stating, "This man would have never set foot in America if not for the Biden…"

The following day, on December 7, 2024, his office proudly announced its role in supporting future leaders through military academy nominations. Rep. Hunt tweeted that "Congressman Wesley Hunt’s office is proud to nominate future leaders to our nation’s military academies." The office conducted interviews with this year's applicants and extended well wishes to the candidates while thanking their board for their commitment.

Later that same day, Rep. Hunt paid tribute to historical figures on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. He wrote about honoring those involved in Pearl Harbor by stating, "Today, we honor the heroes of Pearl Harbor, remembering the bravery and sacrifice of those who stood against unimaginable odds 83 years ago." He emphasized the importance of remembering their legacy and defending freedom.
