How many Pacific Islander students were enrolled in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 126 Pacific Islander students enrolled in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 8% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Cypress-Fairbanks ISD schools welcomed 118,010 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 0.1% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD roughly covers schools within Harris County and has a main office in Houston.

Among the 89 schools in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD schools, Cypress Ridge High School recorded the highest enrollment of Pacific Islander students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of seven students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
