There were three white students enrolled in Amigos Por Vida-Friends for Life Public Charter School District in the 2022-23 school year, 200% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Amigos Por Vida-Friends for Life Public Charter School District welcomed 567 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 0.5% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Amigos Por Vida-Friends for Life Public Charter School District roughly covers schools within Harris County and has a main office in Houston.

Amigos Por Vida-Friends for Life Charter School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming one student in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
