There were 118,010 students enrolled in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.7% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.4% of them were boys, and 48.6% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Cypress-Fairbanks ISD students was Hispanic, accounting for 45.2% of the student population.

Cypress-Fairbanks ISD roughly covers schools within Harris County with its main office in Houston.

Among the 89 schools in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD, Cypress Ranch High School recorded the highest enrollment of 3,627 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
