Enrollment at Etoile Academy Charter School increased by 50.1% compared to previous school year

There were 512 students enrolled in Etoile Academy Charter School in the 2022-23 school year, 50.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53.5% of them were boys, and 46.5% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 63.1% of the Etoile Academy Charter School total enrollment.

Etoile Academy Charter School roughly covers schools within Harris County with its main office in Houston.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
