There were 370 students enrolled in Alief Montessori Community School in the 2022-23 school year, 6% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53.2% of them were girls, and 46.8% were boys.

The most represented ethnicity among Alief Montessori Community School students was Hispanic, accounting for 43.5% of the student population.

Alief Montessori Community School roughly covers schools within Harris County with its main office in Houston.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
