Ser-Ninos Charter School welcomed 1,113 students in 2022-23 school year

There were 1,113 students enrolled in Ser-Ninos Charter School in the 2022-23 school year, 10.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.4% of them were girls, and 49.6% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 97.9% of the Ser-Ninos Charter School total enrollment.

Ser-Ninos Charter School roughly covers schools within Harris County with its main office in Houston.

Among the four schools in Ser-Ninos Charter School, Ser-Ninos Charter Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 516 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
