On Wednesday, January 3, former DeSoto High School standouts Ash'a Thompson and Bria Patterson’s current college team, the Houston Cougars, lost 38-72 in their NCAA D1 game against the Kansas State Wildcats.

The game took place in Manhattan, Kansas. This was the first matchup against the Kansas State Wildcats this season.
