There were 947 students enrolled in George I. Sanchez Charter schools in the 2021-22 school year, 4.6% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.3% of them were boys, and 48.7% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 98.1% of the George I. Sanchez Charter total enrollment.

Among the two schools in George I. Sanchez Charter, George I. Sanchez Charter recorded the highest enrollment of 582 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
