There were 61,633 students enrolled in Aldine ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 2.6% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51% of them were boys, and 49% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 73.9% of the Aldine ISD total enrollment.

Aldine ISD roughly covers schools within Harris County with its main office in Houston.

Among the 78 schools in Aldine ISD, Macarthur High School recorded the highest enrollment of 3,557 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
