87 percent of applicants to Texas Woman's University were admitted for fall 2018

At Texas Woman's University, 74 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 88 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Denton enrolled 15,518 students in fall 2018, including 10,388 in undergraduate and 5,130 in graduate programs, data shows. 13.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of Texas, and 2 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (38 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (30 percent).

The school admitted 87 percent of the 5,727 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 25 percent enrolled.
