The Universal Technical Institute of Texas Inc. enrolls 1,426 undergrads

At the Universal Technical Institute of Texas Inc., 75 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 97 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private for-profit institution in Houston enrolled 1,426 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. No undergraduates were transferred from another college or university.

82 percent of undergraduates are residents of Texas, and 18 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (49 percent) and white (27 percent).
