Graduates earn 198 degrees, certificates from the School of Automotive Machinists & Technology

About 88.9 percent of the 198 degrees and certificates handed out by the School of Automotive Machinists & Technology in 2017-18 were to students in mechanic and repair technologies/technicians programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Houston conferred 162 certificates and 14 associate's degrees in mechanic and repair technologies/technicians programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in engine machinist. Data shows the school gave out 143 certificates in engine machinist, followed by 22 certificates in computer numerically controlled (cnc) machinist technology/cnc machinist and 19 certificates in high performance and custom engine technician/mechanic.

The school enrolled 182 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
