Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale and Kroger have teamed to feed senior citizens in Houston until the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

"Kroger's done a great job, donating to us $700,000 worth of food,” McIngvale told KHOU 11.

Hundreds of volunteers helped Mattress Mack deliver care packages consisting of non-perishable foods, toiletries, water, and other essential items.

"We put the package on their front door and call them to say it's there, and so it's a great way to help people who are shut in right now,” McIngvale told the news outlet.

Donations of non-perishable items will be accepted at Houston-area Kroger locations or McIngvale's Gallery Furniture locations seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Cleaning supplies and toiletries donations are being accepted at Gallery Furniture locations only.
