Senator John Cornyn has raised concerns on social media regarding the leadership during the final months of President Biden’s administration. His statements have sparked discussions about constitutional authority and accountability.
On June 18, 2025, Senator Cornyn questioned the leadership within the Biden administration, asking “We need to know who was in charge during the last months of the Biden administration. Was it his wife, his Chief of Staff? Others? None of these people were elected by the American people, nor were they authorized by the Constitution or our laws to carry out the duties of the”.
In a subsequent post on June 18, 2025, he described the situation as “a constitutional crisis bigger than President Biden, bigger than any single election, and one that cannot be absolved by the collective apology of the press and an election where the President’s party lost.” He further suggested that Democratic colleagues are attempting to downplay these issues.
Later that day, Senator Cornyn addressed what he termed a “cover-up” regarding President Biden’s health decline. He stated “The cover-up of Biden’s decline is a constitutional scandal. If it was also a criminal one, there must be consequences.” This tweet included a call for action from The Justice Department.
